My Daily Schedule As A Stay-At-Home Wife

I mentioned last Friday how thankful I am that I have been able to stay home this summer.  I’ve been asked on more than one occasion, “what do you do all day long? Aren’t you bored?” We don’t have children, yet I’ve managed to fill my days with plenty of domestic duties – and pleasures! I thrive on routine, so naturally after only a few days at home I settled into a schedule that has worked very well.

I thought it would be best if I talked you through a typical day at my house. I sat down and recorded my very first video for this blog! As you will see, I’m still getting the hang of lighting and all the other things that go along with making videos. 🙂 So if you’re interested, you can listen to me talk about what I do all day long!

Coming up next in this series I’ll discuss how I keep from being bored as a stay-at-home wife. If you have any questions for me on that subject (or anything about being a SAHW), please leave a comment or contact me.

  1. Just stumbled upon your blog post while looking for a daily schedule as a SAHW, which i just recently became. Thanks for the inspiration! Are you still a SAHW? I just realized this blog post is 4 years old! 🙂

    1. Hi Christina! Your comment got lost in my spam folder, so sorry about that! I am not currently a SAHW – I work part time outside the home. I’m very passionate about making home life a priority no matter your working status, so I hope you’ll stick around for more inspiration! ❤

  2. Loved this! I’m now a stay at home wife, and love having a schedule! The link you posted was for a daily schedule with a baby, which we are still working to create! Is there a place I can find the written version of that?
    Thank you!

  3. I whole heartedly agree that having a schedule and routine are pretty much what makes my world go round. And like you–I skeleton my day the night before. I work from home (and for myself) so it can get easy to fall into ruts where I’m all work and no housework (no good) or all housework and my work takes a backseat (also not good). I thrive on schedules though and won’t let myself down if I make a todo list so that system works quite well for me. I also worked 45+ hours out of the house up until early 2013–but haven’t been bored a single day (as in–couldn’t find something to do) since I started working from home. Loved the video!

    1. I think I’m almost caught up on all the housework and organizing that didn’t get done while I was working full time! Amazingly, no matter how clean the house is today…it will get dirty tomorrow. Could that be why we aren’t bored? 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
