Nail polish seems to be really popular right now – is it just me? I’ve always been a fan of polished nails, but Instagram and beauty bloggers have made it a must-have for many of us. If you’re like me, the growing supply of Julep, Essie and Vinylux bottles in your bathroom cabinet has you searching for a new way to keep them all organized.
I’ve always stored my polish in a basket. However, my Depression-era tendencies* left my baskets overflowing with old bottles of ancient polish (“I know this bottle is from 2004 and it’s thick and gloopy, but maybe I can use it for my toes…”).
*I didn’t grow up in the Depression, but for some reason I often behave as though I did.
An over the door organizer solved all my nail polish organization issues! It hangs inside my closet, away from direct light, extending the life of the polish. Having a certain number of slots to hold the bottles requires that I throw away old bottles to create space for new ones! I also like how I can see exactly what I’m looking for when I want to paint my nails.
This particular organizer came from Target’s dollar spot back in January. It’s very cheap, which is why it looks a little warped in the picture. However, it works just fine for my needs! You can pick up much nicer organizers at TJ Maxx for around $10. You might be able to find one like mine at Dollar Tree.
Do you have a system for organizing your nail polish?
