High Five For Friday!

1// This weekend my Mom’s side of the family is gathering to celebrate my Grandparents’ 60th anniversary! It has been a very long time since all the grandchildren have been together, and I’m looking forward to the reunion!

2// On Sunday we celebrated my FIL’s birthday at our house. I made my favorite pork roast (it makes an amazing apple/cranberry gravy) with all the fixings. For dessert I served my new go-to chocolate cake – I left off the peppermint and added more chocolate chips. Yum. I love making big meals for my family, and it gave me a chance to debut the spring tablescape I created a few weeks ago!

I caught Paul’s Dad in a blink. Sorry!

3// It’s March Madness time! I’m pumped that my Kentucky Wildcats are STILL undefeated and held onto their #1 seed for the tournament. Thanks to my Papa, my car proudly displays support of the Cats! #bbn

4// Springtime is so beautiful in South Carolina. Our neighborhood is covered with these trees and their fluffy white blooms. Love!

5// We’re thoroughly enjoying New Girl for our evening Netflix time. 🙂 I was a hit-and-miss viewer when it first came out, but we’ve watched it straight through over the last couple months…as evidenced by the amount of Schmidt quotes we’ve incorporated into our daily conversation.

  1. Sounds like a great week! I’m sure your family LOVED your home cooked meal. Glad you got to use your pretty Spring table setting. The NCAA tournament has been very entertaining this year and I’m sure there’s going to be lots of excitement left.
