Menu Monday + A Change In Plans

Menu Plan via ComeHomeForComfort.com

I have a very exciting announcement…we have forsaken the Paleo diet! We struggled for six weeks but ultimately decided it did not work for our lifestyle. I’m proud of my husband for giving it his best effort – even for deciding to do it in the first place (it was all his idea)! We’re going back to dairy and sugar…although I’m really trying to keep the sugar intake as low as possible. I’m relieved. It was very hard to find things my picky eater husband would enjoy that qualified under the Paleo regimen!

Here are the things I got at the grocery store this week (and a little bit of life advice towards the end). 🙂

On The Menu

Breakfast:

  • Martha White Muffins (the mixes featured in the video)
  • Watermelon, Blueberries and Cantaloupe
  • Eggs and Bacon
  • Peanut Butter Toast with Banana Slices

Lunch:

  • Chicken Wraps
  • Salads with Chicken and Summer Fruit

  1. Congrats on giving paleo a try and moving on 🙂 It’s great to know what works best for your family and I bet you’re going to have fun planning menus that you’ll all be excited about.

  2. Thanks for the video – you gave me lots of good ideas for my menu this week! Also thank you for the reminder about being kind to the elderly folks in the store! It’s easy to get caught up in our own busy schedules and forget that shopping is not so easy for them and they are doing the best that they can! Have a great week!

  3. Yay for milk & bread!! And sour cream… I have to get the 4 lb container from Sam’s every month!
I could always find lots of “health & beauty” item deals at Kroger when I could stop by every week. I can still find some, but I’m not able to stop as often now.

  4. Good for you both…our bodies need a bit of variety to receive all the vitamins and nutrients required for healthy bones and muscles! Moderation is the key that we all struggle with and I say that after indulging in a Krispy Kreme donut yesterday…but it was only one and not two!!
