High Five For Friday!

Happy Friday

1// Last week I shared how much I’ve been enjoying iced coffee in the morning, and a few of you alerted me to a couple sites with recipes for cold brewing methods. I tried this one because I wanted to start with a smaller quantity (in case it was a flop). It’s super easy once you get the hang of pouring the coffee over the filter! I’ve successfully brewed two batches this week and have enjoyed the fresh, really cold coffee each morning.

2// I ran into Burke’s Outlet and TJ Maxx one night after work and came home with some fun treasures! I love finding OPI polish for $4, and those paper straws are so much fun in my iced coffee!

3// The paper straws inspired my new breakfast bar decor – and I’m loving it!

4// There are only a few days left in my June vlogging challenge! It’s been a lot of fun. This is my favorite screen capture from the week. ❤ I have two more vlogs going up next week –here’s today’s vlog if you’re interested.

5// This week has been so HOT. This weekend I plan to join Thelma Lou in her full enjoyment of the comforts of home and soak up the cold AC (just in a more ladylike position). 🙂

  1. Visiting (a little late?) from H54F link up. I still haven’t taken the plunge and tried the cold brewed coffee. I’m currently just making instant coffee and putting it in the fridge. Love all of your TJ Maxx finds and your breakfast bar set up is adorable!

  2. Love how you put the cold brew coffee in the canning jars. Smart! I just love fun paper straws. I buy them up whenever I see them. Did you all get a cool down this weekend? It’s been glorious!! Hope you’ve been enjoying it!

  4. I love your vlogs!! I hope you’ll still do some once in a while! Other than your grocery hauls, so we can actually see you! 🙂

I love the screen capture of you & Paul – so sweet!

I have what we refer to at my house as “coffee milk” every morning. John brews me a very strong, sweetened dark coffee in the French press & that lasts me about 5 days or so in the fridge & I use about a cup of that mixed with 2-3 cups of whole milk (depending on how strong I need it) that morning. I’ve been drinking it for years now every single morning. Evan even knows that’s what I drink & tells me that’s what his milk is, too. 🙂

The next time you come visit TN, I’ll have to bring you a cup!

    1. And PS – I’m glad I made it in before the FB cutoff, lol! I totally agree about social media, except I just cannot make myself get in to Twitter. I have one, but I just can’t make myself like it.

    2. Haha, I know it’s weird that I’m always behind the camera on grocery hauls! I have to hurry so I can put everything away now that it’s hot, so I don’t have time to set up the camera like normal. 😊 Your coffee milk sounds interesting…I would love to try it sometime!

  5. Iced coffee is the best in the morning, or sometimes I’ll have some as an afternoon pick me up! I have enjoyed following along with your vlogs this month. Stay cool this weekend!

  6. I loved your vlog! I agree. Instagram is definitely my favourite platform. I really don’t enjoy Facebook anymore (mine is just personal, as well). There are too many “rants”/drama and game requests. Have a lovely weekend! Enjoy that AC!

  7. Great shopping finds! I love that new shade of OPI 🙂 Hope you can stay cool with your cold coffee and AC this weekend. The weatherman is talking about a cool front coming through and I’m hoping he’s right!
