Organizing Your Trunk

How To Organize Your Trunk via ComeHomeForComfort.com

It’s been a while since I shared an organization project with you! This one is very simple but makes life so much easier. Both my hubby and I have recently put organization systems into the trunks of our cars! I was inspired by this post on creating an emergency car kit. I loved how she contained everything in just a few bins. Organizing the trunk of your car isn’t any different than organizing something inside your home – everything needs a place!

I grabbed an extra bin I picked up at Dollar Tree to corral my jumper cables and the occasional rogue watermelon. All of my reusable shopping bags fit into the biggest one and are always ready when I stop at Aldi (cause you don’t want to get stuck at Aldi without those!). My hubby found a tote left over from my Christmas decor organization for the sports gear he carries in his car. Here’s how each of our trunks look now that they’re organized.

Would a few bins in the trunk of your car make life easier?

  1. My jumper cables are always strewn out in the back of my trunk, and it drives me crazy! Ha! this is such an easy idea. I’m going to have to do this. Thanks for the idea!

  2. That is a great idea about keeping some extra Aldi bags in the trunk, Whitney. In fact, I have often found myself needing a bag and not one in sight!! I like to purchase those 99cent bags at TJ Maxx…they are so pretty and I keep them in my pantry. Now I realize they need to be in my trunk!!
