1// Today is my Mom’s birthday! I’ve been blessed with a Mom who is kind, caring, beautiful…and really funny. She’s loved by many, many women who have been encouraged by her life and example. Happy Birthday, Momma!
2// Speaking of birthdays, I’m enjoying the shopping perks that come with birthday months! I always combine my $5 Charming Charlie birthday reward with their BOGO clearance jewelry sales. This year I scored a delicate necklace set and a fun key chain for less than $2 out of pocket!
3// Rain has brought a few cooler evenings to South Carolina, giving me hope that Fall is on the way! I’m waiting for a little cooler weather before I make chili, but I made our first tomato soup and grilled cheese meal this week. Could there be a more comforting meal?
4// Over the weekend I pulled out You’ve Got Mail…I totally forgot how much I love that movie (it’s on the list of my top 5 TV romances). It’s sweet, funny and romantic – and so quotable! Tell me your favorite line in the comments…one of mine is:

5// As I was writing this post, my sister called just to say hi. We hadn’t talked since Monday and that’s a pretty long time for us! She made me laugh and totally brightened my evening after a long day. Thanks sis, for providing my 5th H54F! ❤

So much goodness in this post! What day this month is your birthday??? Work has been crazy hectic since I got back from vacation so I feel out of the loop on everything blogwise:( And happy birthday to your mom!!! I love birthday coupons. . .tip for next year from the Green Fashionista–Tory Burch sends a $50 coupon during your birthday month if you sign up on their website, which basically makes a pair of flip flops free! I’ve never watched You Got Mail. How that happened, I don’t know. And we’re only in the upper 60s this weekend in KY, so I’m breaking out some fall fashion!

I love tomato soup and grilled cheese. I’ve had the urge to make some homemade soup lately, but it still feels a little too warm. Hopefully cooler weather is on the way for both of us. Love your new jewelry and look forward to seeing how you style it. Hope you have a great weekend!

I was actually thinking of grilled cheese and tomato soup for this evenings meal…you are right, we have brains that are eerily similar. I love it!! Happy birthday to your mom! I have found so much encouragement through her blog even though we’ve never yet met in person. That is a beautiful photo of her.
Cooler weather has been slow in coming here to northern New England. A soup meal just hasn’t sounded good to us (although I did make a grilled cheese and tomato bisque meal for my dad this week; he’s 92 and always cold!). But today is cooler, so there’s hope. Looking forward to doing some fall baking!
