Disney Dining: Where To Eat In Epcot

We spent a full day in Epcot during our recent trip to Walt Disney World, and enjoyed some delicious food during the day. The restaurants we visited were so good – we would definitely eat at both of them again!

The best places to eat in Epcot!

The Food:

Being on the Deluxe Dining Plan, we were both able to order an appetizer, entree and dessert. For my appetizer I ordered the Apple & Frisee Salad – a spring mix with thinly sliced apple, craisins, cashel cheese, toasted almonds and a cranberry vinaigrette. It was so delicious and is something I will try to recreate at home. Paul ordered the UK Cheese Platter that had a mix of cheeses, pickled veggies and fruit relishes. Oh my goodness. We shared everything we ordered, but I have to admit that I ate a good portion of Paul’s cheese platter. Amazing.

Paul ordered the grilled New York Strip Steak that came with a loaded Yorkshire Pudding (another dish I’m planning to recreate). He said it was the best steak he ate all week. My fish and chips were very delicious as well. Paul was too full for dessert, but I managed to eat a few bites of my Banoffee Tart. Can you blame me? 🙂Epcot Dining Rose and Crown Pub 2

Overall Experience:

We had so much fun in the United Kingdom section of the World Showcase (where our restaurant was located). All the cast members working in the Rose & Crown were from somewhere in the UK, and were so friendly and fun to talk with. The dining room adjoins the Rose & Crown Pub which really makes the whole place feel like a real English pub. The host and hostess outside the restaurant agreed that it was true to what you’d find in modern day England. I’m all for a traditional English meal without that long plane ride! After our meal we enjoyed a stroll through the rest of the United Kingdom.

I’m afraid my pictures don’t do the food justice – everything was delicious! We chose the Creamy Crab-Spinach Fondue and the Creamy Lobster Soup for our starters. They were both amazing – I could have eaten the fondue and called it a night.

Paul had Manicotti with Lobster Tail, and I had a perfectly cooked New York Strip with Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. It was the best steak I ate all week (we had some kind of steak competition going, apparently!). The dish Paul ordered isn’t currently listed on the menu, so it might have been a special. Our desserts were SO good. I had a chocolate lava cake with raspberry gelato, and Paul’s chocolate mousse with a caramel crisp was also really delicious.

Overall Experience:

We chose this restaurant specifically for the experience. One side of the restaurant reveals a huge aquarium! We enjoyed the view and the elegant dining experience. This was the meal we chose as our “anniversary celebration,” and it was a perfect environment to savor our food and reflect on (almost) five years together!

I hope you get to visit one or both of these restaurants the next time you visit the most magical place on earth!

This post is part of my Walt Disney World Series. We visited WDW at the end of October and chose the Deluxe Dining Plan. Eating at Disney World is not cheap, but choosing a dining plan that works for your family is a great way to go. We loved our meals at WDW and I’m excited to share some of our favorite restaurants with you! This post is not sponsored by Walt Disney World – all opinions are my own.

  1. Yummy!! We also spent a day at Epcot and loved the food. I think our favorite restaurant was in Italy. I love that you got to try lots of tasty things. Your food all looks amazing so it’s great to hear that it tasted just as delicious. I just ate lunch, but I’m craving a fancy dessert now and a trip to Disney 🙂

  2. I hated Epcot the first time I was there, as a teen in high school. I thought it was so boring. We went back a couple times during my college years and I loved it then! The last time we were at Disney (12 years ago!) we spent half a day in Epcot and ate in Morroco. John still takes about his authentic lamb gyro & how it was the best one he’s ever had. I honestly don’t remember what I ate, but I have a handmade basket that I bought there that I still have. That was a crazy trip where we hit all 4 parks in 2 days!

  3. When we did our all inclusive honeymoon there we ate at The Top of the World and it was so good. Your meals look delicious and it makes the Disney experience so much better than when you are eating snacks out of your backpack like we did when we took our kiddos.lol
