$10 at Target: Dining Area Refresh!

I’m very excited to be participating in this blog hop today! Becky from BYBMG Blog created this series of posts where she takes $10 into Target and tries to make it go as far as possible. This month I got to join eight other bloggers for the fun – their posts are linked below. I took $10 into Target and purposefully avoided the One Spot (although I could have easily spent every penny right there!). Keep scrolling to see what I found!

Here’s what I found: three decorative plates to give my dining area a fresh new look! I removed the gold and white plates from my Christmas decor and was tired of the red, white and blue plates I’ve had in that rack for a couple years. The top and bottom plates are the same shade of turquoise (although it doesn’t look like it from the picture, what?) and the middle one is a blue-gray color. It’s the perfect color combo for the calmer palette I’m going for these days.

Now for the fun part – did I come in under budget? The plates were $2.99 each, so even with tax I was still under the $10 limit. Wohoo! Of course now I need to find something to hang on the other side of the window…but that’s how it goes with decorating. 🙂 Be sure and visit the other bloggers linked above to see more fun $10 Target finds!

  11. Those plates really do brighten up your dining area!! I bet you could find a fun floral/greenery spray to hang vertically on the other side or to drape on the window. I always enjoy adding in a few new things to favorite decorations to update a space.
