5 Things on Friday {Good Friday 3.25.16}

Today I could share the typical Friday stuff like I always do, but that just didn’t feel right. With all that’s going on in the world today, we need the message of Easter more than ever before. The answer to all the problems that we face is found in the gospel – Jesus came to this earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to give us victory! The empty tomb declares, “Jesus Saves!”

I wrote this a few years ago, but I wanted to share it again today. Here are 5 reasons I’m glad it’s Good Friday!

  1. Good Friday is the day that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. John 3:16
  2. Good Friday is the day that Jesus died on the cross for your sins! Romans 5:8
  3. Good Friday represents true sacrificial love. Philippians 2:5-8
  4. Good Friday reminds me that God’s love for me has no limits. John 15:13
  5. Good Friday is followed by Easter Sunday! Jesus died for my sins, but He’s alive today! Matthew 28:6

He is Risen Indeed! Happy Easter!

  1. Amen. My pastor says we actually have 50-some days after Easter to celebrate, which I absolutely love! It’s so nice to have the extended joyfulness and light after such a long, dark Lent.
