Last month I showed you what I would do if I had $200 to blow in my living room. Today I’m back with another imaginary $200 shopping spree – this time the focus is on my dining room. In my house the dining room is part of an open living space that includes the kitchen and living room, so the colors need to flow from one area to another. Here’s my dining area as it stands today – simple and a little sterile.
At first glance, I thought it would be hard to find $200 worth of decor to add in this small space. Once I got going, I didn’t have any trouble reaching the $200 mark! 🙂 My goal was to soften the dining area with color and pattern. Here are the pieces I would add to my dining room if I had $200 to blow!
- 6 chair slipcovers: $138
- Plate holder (similar): $12.50
- Polka Dot Plates: $19.52 OR Floral Plates: $15.88
- Wall Decal in Turquoise: $32
Total Spent: $198.38 OR $202.02 – depending on which plates I choose!
Watch my video below to find out why I chose those items and to see how I’d work them into the current room. I’ll also share the way I approached this project that simplified decorating for me BIG TIME!
If I find myself with an extra $200 in my wallet, I know what to do with it! 🙂
