In case you thought that every space in my home was perfectly organized, today’s post will help you see the truth. I have to work hard to keep things organized, and every once and while a space gets really out of hand. Such was the case with one of the first organizing projects I did when we moved into this house. I broke one of my basic rules of organization – I didn’t maintain the system. Things got really messy! Over the past two weekends I tackled this project, and I thought it would be fun to bring you along during the process.
Watch my video below to see where I started, what it looked like in the middle, and where I ended. I picked up some really great bins from the Dollar Tree that made a big difference in the end result. If you need help setting up a system for organizing your tools or your crafting supplies, this video will give you some ideas!
I love plastic drawers for my crafting supplies, and I have a couple of those three drawer sets, plus a few other plastic totes for all of my papers, adhesives, and scrapbooking pieces. They pile up so fast, and I need to do more with my stash because it’s gotten a little too big. Cards are so fun to make, and I used to do a ton of scrapbooking. Oh, my….I don’t know what life would be like without garage storage. You do a great job with the space you have! 🙂

That plastic drawer used to work well for me, but now that I don’t have a
place to store it I’m glad I could eliminate it!

Such great tips. I do the same type of organization 3 times a year and it’s so helpful. We don’t need all the extra so it’s nice to purge.
