1// Last Friday night Paul and I got to attend a big gospel concert event that I’ve been excited about for months! We got to hear a couple artists that we love, including The Collingsworth Family. I had never seen them live in concert and was not disappointed! It was a great date night.
2// I love Charming Charlie’s end of summer clearance! Every September they put their clearance on BOGO the same week I get my $5 birthday reward in the mail. This year I stacked a $10 off $20 coupon with all that and got 4 items for the price of one! (Side note: this is one store where it definitely pays to be on their email list. They track your purchases, give you points for every dollar you spend and let you return items up to a year without the receipt!)
3// This weekend I’m headed to Tennessee for a ladies conference at my parents/sister’s church. I’m looking forward to family time and a chance to see a few of my sweet friends who live there (and of course, the conference!). 🙂
4// Since Paul is staying home this weekend, I made sure to leave the kitchen stocked with his favorite foods. He has plenty of hot dogs and buns, cheese and mustard so the main meals are all covered. #notkidding. I had a moment of wife guilt for leaving him alone all weekend, so I whipped up two loaves of our favorite banana bread for him to munch on. He’s easy to please! What do you leave for your husband or kids to eat when you’re gone?
5// In case you missed it, here’s my latest YouTube video! If you look over my shoulder, you’ll see my newest treasure from the Target One Spot…whoooo I love. #badjoke
Have a lovely weekend!

Here’s what was new on the blog this week!
You’ve had an exciting week! Concerts are a great way to unplug, and seeing family is usually a blast. Hooray for awesome shopping sales/deals! It’s like hitting the jackpot when that happens. I got a free already-made cake coupon from my grocery store the other day, and that was fun. (Can’t remember ever getting a free cake. Haha!) I don’t have a husband/kids, but I LOVE to bake for my mom, sister and friends. They get a ton of cookies, cupcakes, etc., from me to enjoy. 🙂

Wow, free cake! That’s pretty fun!

I’m thinking the store is wanting me to try out their bakery section, as I don’t buy a lot of their already-prepared items (they track purchases with a shopper card). Whatever the reason, I’m not going to turn down a treat! 🙂

I didn’t know all of that about Charming Charlie’s! That is good to know! My man is usually good if I have chicken nuggets and cookies stocked up. 🙂

I’m excited to see your new accessories! Hope you have a safe & fun trip to see your family. I bet they’ll be thrilled to have you there for the conference. You’re sweet to leave Paul with a stocked fridge. I usually pick up frozen pizza, some seafood, chips and salsa and make some cookies if my hubby is going to be alone for a few days.
