Clean With Me | Bathroom Edition

I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of cleaning the bathroom. If I had the luxury of hiring a cleaning service, that’s the job I’d gladly pay to have done each week! But until my husband discovers oil or gold in our back yard, I’m still on bathroom cleaning duty. This year I’m following my household cleaning schedule which has really helped me stay on track with the chores I’m not as fond of doing. Here’s what my current bathroom cleaning routine includes:

Daily:

  • Sinks
  • Counter Top and Toilet Lid

Weekly:

  • Toilet
  • Shower
  • Mirror
  • Empty Trash
  • Floors – Sweep and Mop

Monthly/Periodically

  • Rugs
  • Walls & Chair Rail
  • Shower Curtain Liner
  • Shower Curtain (twice a year)

There’s something about watching other people clean that really motivates me to clean. I figure I’m not the only person who needs motivation to clean the bathroom, so this weekend I filmed myself while giving the bathroom a semi-deep clean. You can watch the process below. In this video I shared my favorite way to quickly and easily clean the soap scum and mildew off the shower curtain liner.

If you could hire someone to clean one room of your house, which one would it be?

  1. I’m with you on disliking bathroom cleaning. The odors of the cleansers often bother my sinuses, so I tend to procrastinate. 😉 But it’s so satisfying to walk into a fresh, clean room.
