Christmas Home Tour {2016}

christmas-home-tour-2016

I love decorating my home for Christmas! I will admit, I was kind of sad to put away my fall decor…until I started opening the Christmas bins. Once I saw my treasured pieces that I’ve carefully hunted down through almost ten years of after-Christmas clearance sales, I forgot all about the pumpkins and couldn’t wait to make the house festive!

This year I did purchase a new tree for the living room – I stayed small, but replaced my tabletop tree with a skinny six foot tree I snatched during Target’s 50% off Christmas tree sale last month. Instead of the turquoise and silver theme I’ve enjoyed the past four years in this house, I went with red and gold. I really love how it all came together!

My outdoor decorations are exactly the same as last year – I have my $5 Goodwill Challenge project on the front door and my simple berry wreath on the side door!

It’s impossible to get good pictures of all the decorations, so I have a video tour for you as well! I invited five of my favorite YouTubers to join me for a Christmas Open House, where we’re sharing the best of our Christmas inspiration with you. If you want to watch the rest of the videos that are part of my Open House, you can view them by clicking here. I know you’ll enjoy the content!

Thanks for coming along on my Christmas decor tour!

  1. I love your decorations! Everything turned out so fabulous, and the tree is especially beautiful! I got a new tree this year too, because my old one was dunzo.

  2. I love your new skinny tree! So practical and beautiful. I’ve had my eye on those glass domes filled with Christmas things. They’re so pretty! The red and gold combination looks great in your home. I really like your dining area with the white, red and gold. It’s fun to change up your decor a bit to make everything feel new again.

  3. Everything looks so comfy and cozy!! Wanted to grab a cup of coffee from the counter and sit down for a chat, a cassette tape of Christmas in America w/ Kenny Rogers, and/or Miracle on 34th Street.
