I don’t believe you must have children in your home in order to make holidays special or magical. As a Christian, many holidays that we celebrate are special just because of what we’re celebrating! Easter is one of my most favorite weekends of the year. Without Easter, Christmas would be meaningless. Jesus came as a baby so that He could live a sinless life, die on the cross as payment for my sin and then rise to live again, giving me hope and the promise of eternal life! There’s no better reason to celebrate!
This Sunday I’m looking forward to celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and then coming home to a delicious Sunday meal. 🙂 Here’s what’s on my menu for this year!
Ham
Cheddar and Bacon Twice Baked Potatoes
Corn Saute’
Tomato, Cucumber & Feta Salad with Balsamic Dressing
White Bakery Rolls
Where will you be eating Easter dinner this year? Whether you’re eating in a house full of family and children or it’s just you and your spouse, I hope you’ll make it special. It’s worth celebrating!!
Yummy menu! And I love Easter for the same reason as you. 🙂 It was just my mom, sister and me for the holiday this year, but it was special nonetheless. Church wasn’t overly packed this Easter (both a good and bad thing!), so the service was very enjoyable. And the weather was nice, too. We always exchange Easter goodies for our Easter baskets, as those are fun at any age! Hope your Easter was lovely!

Think of adding chopped cooked shrimp and piece of shrimp and dill sprig on top of deviled eggs. Makes nice special egg.

Your table looks so pretty and your menu sounds wonderful! We just might pop in! Oh wait, that’s next week. 🙂 My menu sounds pretty similar to yours, with the addition of a salad and THE Coconut caked with lemon curd.

Sounds amazing!! I love twice baked potatoes and look forward to our Easter meal all year long. I’m definitely making deviled eggs and potato salad, but have yet to decide on the meat.

Oooh Paul would love it if I made potato salad. He’s been asking for that recently.

We are having a small dinner on Easter, just the 3 of us but I am eager to celebrate Jesus Christ regardless of how many people are sitting around our table.

Your table looks lovely and I’m glad you mention deviled eggs…I’m going to add those to our plans. My huge extended family always gets together for lunch after church on Easter but I think we are opting out this year. My husband has a big job going on over the weekend and will likely only be able to go to church and then back out to work. My mom had a stroke in November and big crowds wear her out. I think I will take my parents to a nearby lake for an Easter picnic.
I followed you here from I’m an Organizing Junkie and would love to have you stop by for a little visit. Here is the link to my menu: http://lifewithdee.com/menu-monday-april-10-2017/

Wow, the table setting is awesome!
I love Easter as well. With children it tends to get a little commercialized so I try to make sure that we reinforce the true meaning of this blessed holiday.
Thanks for the post!

Well we are going to a local Easter Brunch at the Double Tree Restaurant as it was just going to be the two of us. We did this at Christmas as well and we enjoyed it. Our children all have plans and we do not want them to feel obligated to come and be with the old folks.lol This way we enjoy the meal and no tempting left overs.

My husband and I actually get to go back to Michigan for Easter to celebrate with my family. I love Indiana but nothing beats holidays at Grandmas for me! Beautiful table and yummy menu!
