My Summer Capsule Wardrobe

I have a video for you today! I decided to try creating a wardrobe that fits my lifestyle. I chose around 20 items that will create outfits to suit almost every part of my week: work, church, errands, days at home and nights out! In this video I’ll briefly explain why I chose to create a capsule wardrobe for this summer and then I’ll show you each of the pieces.

Here’s what I’m working with:

  • Tops: 7
  • Cardigans: 3
  • Skirts: 3
  • Pants: 1
  • Dresses: 4
  • Shoes: 5 pair (not included in my item count)

Let me know what you think of this idea – would it work for you? Did I leave any holes in my wardrobe?

  1. I’m loving this idea of showcasing your favorite pieces for a few months. I’m sure you’ll come up with some cute outfits and it really is nice to give things a break. You’ve got a great variety and I’m jealous you have such good luck in the little girl’s departments. That’s a great tip for petite ladies. I think you covered all of my favorite pieces – love your mix of patterns, that you have freedom to add accessories in as you please and that you’ve figured out what works for you. Great job!

  2. I do like your choices! Seems like I have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear then I always choose the same pieces. Love the striped shoes! I do wear a slip a lot. Some clothes are just too sheer and I like the way they hang and flow better without the clinging when I don’t wear a slip.

  3. I am beyond impressed. Now can you come help me put some together for myself, lol. I am actually thinking that I may set up my wardrobe capsule style, but also to wear I can switch out a few pieces monthly so I don’t get bored to tears while living with Russ’ parents.
