One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is the opportunity to capture special moments throughout December – seeing the reflection of the Christmas tree lights in the kitchen window, pulling out my Grandmother’s Christmas china for the first time, or snuggling with my husband (and a cat) to watch a Christmas movie by the tree. There’s so much activity and expectation during the month that I think it’s important to keep our eyes open for those little pleasures that can become fond memories.
I’m joining several of my Instagram friends for a fun photo challenge during December – and you can join, too! Each day in December is assigned a prompt that will help you to find the beauty in those little moments. Snap a picture and share it on social media (Facebook works if you don’t do Instagram) and use the hashtag #2017ChristmasMoments so everyone can see your photos.
There are no rules and you don’t have to post every day. Feel free to skip a day or to post more than one in a day if you need to catch up. Of course you don’t even have to share your pictures on social media – this would be a fun activity to do all on your own!
