Happy Friday! Did you get snow this week? We didn’t get any, but I know lots of people who did! It’s always crazy to get snow in March, isn’t it? I love cold weather but I’m not sad we missed the snow this time around. π Here are five things that I’ve enjoyed so far this week.
#1 Date Night:Β On Sunday night our church hosted a concert with Veritas – we’d never heard them before but I had a feeling Paul would love their style. I was right! They are a classical contemporary group and did some really powerful songs like Via Dolorosa as well as some fun stuff like Let it Go (it’s always funnier when guys sing that one!).
#2 I always love having company for Sunday lunch, even if it’s when my husband looks at me at the end of the service and says, “Want me to invite them for lunch today?” There’s nothing like last minute entertaining – and it’s why I always clean up the kitchen after breakfast on Sunday! π

#4 It’s concert week! This weekend is an annual event hosted by the radio station where I work. We hosted a listener appreciation concert last night and have one more tonight. I love Southern Gospel Music, so it’s a major treat to do this as “work.”
#5 Spring Goodwill Challenge
This is where you find something second hand (doesn’t have to be from an actual Goodwill store) and use it to decorate your home. The only rule is that you can only spend $5 or less! Here’s my video with the treasure I found in an antique store in Jonesborough, Tennessee. For those of you who said you like short videos – this one is for you! πΒ
That’s it for me! Have a great weekend!
Whitney! Is your dad a pastor? I think I know you from way back! The Wilds, maybe?

Getting to work with things related to music and concerts would be so much fun! Definitely a BIG job perk! I checked out the link to the Veritas video of “Let It Go,” which was awesome!! π Yes, we got snow this week, but just a little so it’s already melted. Might get a dusting again in the next day or two, but it’s pretty warm and should melt fast, too. That bowl is fun, and it’s right up your alley! I love blues, too, as they’re good neutrals and coordinate with many things.

Yay for all of your concerts! I know they’re your favorite so I’m sure you look forward to this week every year. It’s really sweet that you and Paul enjoy these concerts together. I am seriously impressed with your last minute hosting! I rarely do that so good for you. I love that you prepare to be spontaneous by cleaning up your kitchen ahead of time. That’s my kind of spontaneity π

You’re right – I do look forward to this weekend. It’s party planning and concerts in the same event! π Don’t think we spontaneously entertain all the time – it happens a couple times a year. π

We had snow one day this week, but it quickly melted. The rest of the week has felt like Spring, which is so rare for this time of year in Indiana.
I love the bowl. I have a bowl buying problem. I have way too many. (I also have a casserole and cake stand buying problem!)

I grew up in Indiana – it IS rare to have warm weather in March! I’m glad for you, though! π Thanks for stopping by, Angela!

I enjoyed your post today. I did not know that you work at a radio station. It must be a Christian one. I hope you have a blessed week-end.

We actually have a restaurant here in town called Veritas. haha I love that you make room for spontaneous entertaining….I wish I was better at it. I’m always way too worried about how my house looks which is dumb. Happy Friday!

I don’t do a lot of spontaneous entertaining – and I do it more now that I only work part time. π
