4 Things on Friday {May 2018’s Highlights}

May was really packed with festivities! The Kentucky Derby, The Royal Wedding, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and of course – season finales of so many shows! 🙂 Here were the highlights from my month!

1// Memorial Day Weekend – Burgers, BBQ, Good Breakfast and Books…

2// May Outfits

3// Celebrating Mother’s Day with my Mom! (full recap here)

4// No Solo Suppers! – After college and high school sports wrap up, it’s always nice to have my referee husband home for supper every night! Most weeks during the school year I have a couple nights where I eat first and then reheat Paul’s supper a few hours later. It’s honestly always a little strange to adjust to having him home every night in the summer, but I like it! We enjoyed a few date nights this month and ended up at our favorite Mexican place this week.

  1. May was a fun month of food and family here, too. So glad you have more time with Paul again! Seeing your patriotic wreath reminded me that I really need to get my decor out. 🙂 It’s been so crazy-busy with the wrap-up of the school year and garden tending that I’ve not had a chance lately. I will definitely have things in place by Flag Day, though! I’d have red, white and blue out year-round, but there’s so many other seasonal pieces that I’d miss.

  2. Glad your hubby’s schedule eases up a bit this time of year. Your date nights sound like a lot of fun. Your patriotic wreath makes me want to get busy and make one for my door.

    1. I think you’ll find that they’re even better! I read through many of her books in high school and have enjoyed them even more as I re-read them with a little more life experience. The stories are so sweet!
