Enjoying The Journey

5 On Friday {11.9.18}

Happy Friday! I have a quick roundup of fun things from this week, so let’s get into it!

#1 On Sunday we celebrated Friendsgiving (Thanksgiving with friends that feel like family)! Here’s my plate – no judging the all green and yellow color palette. 🙂

#2 Monday afternoon we drove out to Campbell’s Covered Bridge, a place I’ve driven past hundreds of times but have never visited! Even though it was a gray day, we enjoyed the cool temperatures and the beautiful scenery. And Paul was pretty proud of himself for this picture! 🙂

#3 This week I took on the 10×10 challenge: choose 10 items of clothing to mix and match for 10 outfits, to be worn 10 days in a row. My friend Rebekah is the queen of capsule wardrobes. She’s hosting the challenge on her Instagram if you want to check it out over there. Here’s my favorite outfit so far (the rest of my outfits are in my Instagram story highlights):

#4 I posted a new video last night -3 tips to make your home smell welcoming – where I tell the story of the stove top potpourri disaster. 🙂 I’ve been dangerous in the kitchen this year!

#5 Give thanks and eat pie – what a good life motto. 🙂

Happy Friday, friends!

  1. Hey, Whitney! Sounds like you’ve had a fun week! I love fall nature, and that trip with Paul looks like a great one. And hosting a Friendsgiving would be awesome, too! Glad it was a great week.

    I’ve been out of commission (and work) the past several weeks with pneumonia…..not a fan! 😉 Since September, it’s either been allergies or a cold, and now pneumonia. Never had that one before. Praying that I’m on the mend, as the antibiotics seem to be kicking in. Hope you are staying well and have a great Turkey Day ahead! That’s my goal: feel at/almost 100% by Thanksgiving. I’ve missed keeping up with you and your blog.

    P.S. Our new Aldi is making a lot of progress. I think it should be open next month. 🙂

      1. Thanks so much, Whitney! I’m doing much better, but my lung and ribs are still quite sore. Just found out that our Aldi opened earlier than expected – this past week! I’ve been out of the loop being stuck at home, but will be over there to check it out soon. 🙂

  2. All of your Thanksgiving food looks delicious!! I’m in the mood for pie. Your covered bridge pictures look like they could have been taken in Indiana 🙂 Glad you got to have a fun outdoor adventure! It’s a great time of year for that

  3. I love the photo of the covered bridge! It looks SO similar to a covered bridge in our area that we’ve visited before! They seem to be few and far between. Such beautiful scenery and a perfect day trip for fall!
