Why do we so easily forget the good days and so fiercely hang on to the bad ones? I am ashamed to say that I considered not even writing a year-end highlights post for 2018 because I figured there weren’t enough good memories to outweigh the hard ones.
I was wrong! God has graciously given us some really sweet memories that remind me of His goodness, grace and kindness in our lives. If you feel as I did that 2018 isn’t worth looking back on, I hope you’ll scroll through your pictures and find some sweet memories – like these!
January: 4 days of snow
March: Kentucky road trip with Paul
April: Hand lettering class with Mom
May: Spending Mother’s Day with my parents
June: Asheville brunch with my Mom, sister and nephews
July: Atlantic City Road Trip
August: Boone weekend for Mom’s birthday
September: Birthday weekend in Kentucky
October: Gaither Vocal Band Concert
November: Traveling with Mom
November: UK game!
December: HamFam Christmas!
My first post on How To Leave A Church got lots of love and comments – I wasn’t surprised that the follow up post wasn’t as warmly received. The advice I gave in that post isn’t easy to follow! 🙂 I wrote those posts because on the first Sunday of 2018, we joined a new church. That was easily the best thing we did all year!
