Using Candles to Create a Comforting Home

Here’s a quick and easy way to add comfort in your home. Just light a candle!

Candles aren’t just romantic, they are calming and welcoming. If I know my husband will arrive home late into the evening, I turn off all the overhead lights and only use lamps and candles in preparation for his arrival. It creates a calm, peaceful atmosphere after a long day of work. I also like to light candles while we are watching TV in the evenings.

In addition, I love how inexpensive candles can be. The Dollar Tree carries a wide selection, but I frequently find them on clearance at Hobby Lobby and Target. I have no sense of smell (sometimes that is a blessing), so I grab the candles that coordinate with my decor and hope they smell good! 🙂
