Printed shorts have been a thing for a couple years now, but I feel like I’ve seen them everywhere this spring. Sometimes printed shorts can seem like a challenge to style, and while you might think they won’t be a very remixable piece, I’m here to change your mind. I’ve put together five different outfit combinations using my favorite pair of printed shorts to show just how versatile they can be!
Pairing With Solid Tops
Solid tops are always the easiest way to go when wearing printed shorts. You can change things up though by wearing different colored tops instead of sticking with plain white or wearing the one color that you think matches your shorts.

To add more interest to your outfit, you can also pair your shorts with printed tops. Just be sure to keep the prints balanced and not go overboard!
If you’re on the fence about printed shorts, I suggest finding a pair that has a neutral color as the main color. I love that mine are navy blue because I can pair so many different colors with it.
If you’re already a printed shorts fan, I would love to hear how you style yours!
I really love old navy shorts! They have the cutest ones, plus they are always so comfortable. I haven’t seen this print before, but I may be needing it soon 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I love a good pair of printed shorts/skinnies. I usually gravitate towards chambray on top or a jean jacket. I love your pattern mixing options.

Oh I love chambray with printed shorts! I should have added that as an option!

Good advice Alli…I no longer wear shorts, being of a certain age but I do have some printed skirts that I wear and your advice is very helpful.
