Enjoying The Journey

Favorite Snacks!

Today’s post isn’t inspirational, instructional  or even very informational. (How did you like that alliteration?!) It’s just a fun post for your Wednesday. I sat down to film a vlog, and lo and behold Peggy MacMillan got in the frame! If you need a dose of cute kitty in your life, or if you’re curious what my favorite snacks might be…this vlog is for you! 🙂

Warning: unhealthy food ahead.

I don’t eat all of those in one sitting, of course. 🙂 What is your snack preference? Sweet or salty?

  1. This is making me hungry. 🙂 I’m generally a sweets person (anything chocolate!), although I can go for a salty snack like chips and salsa, guacamole, or French onion dip any time. This summer, we’ve been on a frozen Snickers ice cream bar kick and a Popsicle kick. We like those cheap Popsicles that are in the long plastic tubes, lol… They’re liquid when you buy them and then they freeze into long push-up pops. I like your s’mores idea. Sometimes I will take a graham cracker square and top it with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows and microwave it… That works as a quick s’more, too! 🙂

  2. I love ALL snacks! I would say I am a sweet/salty snacker….sometimes together! Popcorn and peanut butter M&M’s, cheese, chocolate, chips and salsa!! Have you tried smashing up an avocado and adding a few tablespoons of salsa, mix it up then add a dollop of sour cream if I have it with tortilla chips? Yummy!

  3. I definitely prefer salty snacks (though I don’t snack very often) but I like to have a little sweet after every meal. I hardly ever ate sweets until my pregnancy with Evan & then I craved them all the time & now I still have a bit of a sweet tooth.

  4. I think my pretzel and popcorn addictions would put me int he salty category…although I’m having Strawberry Shortcake as a snack right now.

  5. Oh I love all snacks…I would rather snack than eat meals.lol. I am a big chocolate fan and I have been resisting that Hazelnut spread because I am afraid I would just go crazy with it. One of my favorite snacks is Chili Cheese Fritos. I seldom purchase them for the same reason I leave the Hazelnut spread on the shelf at the grocery store. One of the sad things about getting older is the slowing of the metabolism!! As for granola bars, I enjoy those as well but I like Sunbelt granola bars( made by Little Debbie). My sis turned me on to them as they are one of the snack foods with lower points that she can enjoy on Weight Watchers. They are yummy…but you can only have ONE.lol
