My husband and I committed to spending time together, one-on-one, once a week for the year 2014. We don’t have children, but our work schedules are almost always flip-flopped. If we’re not careful, we can end up exchanging the days’ news and going to bed without really spending any quality time together. Sound familiar?
One night I pulled a list of questions similar to this one for our discussion over supper. It was a lot of fun to guess each other’s answers and discover new things about each other. If your conversation defaults to complaints about the events of the day or worries about the bills to be paid, I challenge you to intentionally re-route your conversation. It’s a good idea to let your spouse know you’re interested in them (just like you did when you were dating!).
We’ve been grocery shopping together over the past few weeks, and it has provided for some fun times…and some funny tweets…
How are you doing with the 2014 Date Night Challenge? If you haven’t set aside time each week to spend with your spouse, I hope you’ll consider adding it into your schedule!

It’s garden time for us – so we have been working in the garden together! It’s been awesome!
It think it’s so sweet that you two do your projects together! Happy gardening!
