Hi, friends! While I wasn’t really on Spring break this week, I did take the week off from blogging. I enjoyed the break but I’m ready to get back at it! Here’s what I’ve enjoyed since last Friday…
1// We’ve had consistent Spring-like weather this week, which for my neck of the woods means intermittent drizzle and mornings in the 50’s. I’ve enjoyed wearing the trench coat I picked up from Target last fall. Here’s my secret: I shop in the little girl’s section at stores like Target and Old Navy. 🙂 None of my friends have the same coat as me…but sometimes their kids do. Haha!
2// What is it about a kitty in a box? Peggy is loving this box I brought home from Aldi.
3// Last weekend we honored my grandparents on their 60th anniversary. It was so much fun to get together with all our extended family! Paul and I enjoyed spending some extra time with my grandparents after the anniversary celebration. Isn’t my Nana beautiful?
4//While we were in Kentucky we took the opportunity to stock up on Ale 8! I can’t leave the Winchester Walmart without that and some new UK swag.
5// We are planning our very first vacation, to celebrate our 5th anniversary (yeah, we haven’t gone on vacation since our 3-day honeymoon to Gatlinburg)! We’re going to Disney World this fall and I’m SO EXCITED! Neither of us have been since the 80’s, so this will be a fun experience for both Paul and me. We’re planning to spend most of our time in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. We’re getting ready to start making dinner reservations, so if you have suggestions of where we should eat or stuff we need to see, please share!!
Have a lovely weekend!

Make sure you ride soarin at Epcot & the mine train at Magic Kingdom. My husband and I live locally and we have annual passes, so we are there often. Belle’s castle is a must, but make the dinner reservation. It is a better experience than earlier in the day, which is fun, but bot quite as magical. We also love to ride the tomorrow land transit authority for a little break at the magic kingdom.

Thanks for the tips! I hadn’t considered Soarin’ originally, but several people have recommended it as well so it’s now on the list! I definitely want to eat at Belle’s castle – and I’ll take your advice and book dinner instead of lunch. Thanks so much!

Baha – best secret ever! I’m a *smidge* too tall to shop little girl clothes, but I’m very guilty of buying kid-sized shoes! It’s an easy way to save $40! 🙂

Haha! Oh yes, I always get little girls flip flops at Old Navy!

I’m so glad you enjoyed your break! Glad you’re back, though 🙂 And I just love that coat. You both are going to have such fun at Disney World! I have been dying to go as an adult. I haven’t been since I was a kid. But my husband and I got engaged at DisneyLand in CA, so Disney is just special for us. Have a great weekend!

How fun that you were engaged at DisneyLand!! We’ve been trying to plan a trip for several years now, and I can’t believe it’s actually going to happen! Have a lovely weekend, friend. 🙂

I’m so glad you’re back! I missed you!!! We’ve not been to Disney since ’03, so I can’t help with suggestions of what’s good now, but I had the best iced coffee I’ve ever had from the MK. And my hubby loved his authentic gyro from Morocco at Epcot. We bought park hoppers & hit all parks 4 in 2 days. Epcot was my favorite one on that trip.

That coat is darling!! I love that you can shop in the little girl’s section – smart thinking!! Glad you had such a wonderful time with your family. What a fun anniversary trip you’ve got planned!! Kevin and I went to Disney World on our honeymoon 10 years ago. We loved it, but am glad you are going in the Fall because July was HOT 🙂 We loved The Animal Kingdom so I hope you can sneak over there for a bit. All of our meals in Epcot were delicious!!

I don’t think you could pay me to visit WDW in the summer! It should still be in the 80’s while we’re there which is plenty hot for me. Hope you have a lovely weekend even if Kentucky beats Notre Dame tomorrow. 🙂

Hey Brenda! I’ve already been scrolling through your Disney posts this week – which made me realize you’ve been back in blogland for a month and I missed it! I’m not sure why I wasn’t following you on Bloglovin’ before, but I am now. 🙂 It would be awesome if our WDW trips overlapped….I’ll be sure to holler at you if I have any questions. Have a lovely weekend!
