Graduation Gift {For the Preppy Graduate}

The end of the school year is upon us which means that graduation season is in full swing right now. You probably know at least a couple people that are graduating from either high school or college, which has sent you out to the stores in search of graduation presents.

My sister-in-law is graduating from high school in just a couple weeks (How did that happen?! She was 14 when I started dating my husband!), so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect graduation gift for her. Allison (yeah, we share the same name) is a huge lover of all things preppy – AKA Lilly Pulitzer and Vera Bradley – so I wanted to get her things that would not only compliment her style but also be useful for college.

Buying name brand things such as Lilly Pulitzer can get a little expensive, but if you shop at smaller boutiques instead of buying from the brand’s website, you can usually find some good clearance items. I scored some awesome items for her graduation while on vacation and I love how her gift turned out!

When shopping, I tried to think of what I would have wanted when I was going to college. Honestly, I would totally use all of these items now!

Lilly Pulitzer Market Bag – every college student has a ton of stuff to tote around, so I thought this Market Bag would be perfect for books, laundry, groceries, etc.

Vera Bradley Student Agenda – Allison has always used a planner for high school, and as a lover of all things organized, I couldn’t resist this adorable student agenda! I also love how it starts in May 2015 and goes until December 2016.

Vera Bradley ID Case– I had one of these when I was in college and it was perfect for holding my student ID. It’s a hassle to always be pulling your ID out of your wallet, so a clear-front case simplifies all those times you need to access your ID quickly.

Initial 16 Ounce Tervis – no college student can be expected to survive without a way to carry coffee to class. This was a no-brainer.

I’m also going to add a pack of Sharpies to her gift, but I haven’t had a chance to pick them up yet!
