Looking put together is something we all want, right? But unfortunately we don’t always have the time to accomplish that goal. I’ve recently discovered a few simple ways to feel like I’m put together even though I know I didn’t have a lot of time to get that way. I really don’t know why it’s taken me so long to figure this out, but these three tips have been a game changer for me! I hope these are helpful to you!
A little lip gloss and mascara go a long way – I have become a huge believer in the power of lip gloss and mascara. If I look extra tired in the morning or my makeup seems a little droopy at the end of the day, mascara always livens up my eyes and lip gloss brightens my face.
Layer on the accessories – My outfits always feel complete when I add either diamond or pearl earrings and a statement necklace. Even just a simple skinny jeans and tee outfit can look polished by adding some bling-y accessories.
Spritz on a little perfume – I don’t have a sense of smell, so I never can smell my perfume, but I like knowing that I’ll smell good to those around me. I spray perfume on after getting ready every morning and it always makes me feel fresh and polished.
I know these are short and simple tips, but they really do make a difference! What do you to do feel put together?

Yes to the gloss and mascara! Those two things will transform me from a character from the Walking Dead to looking mostly human 🙂

I agree with all of these. It’s amazing how a little bit from each category goes a long way in making you feel put together. I also feel like a little dry shampoo helps me feel refreshed if my look gets wilted during the day.

Bless your heart..no sense of smell must be very aggravating sometimes and very nice at others!! I was just talking with my granddaughter about how the sense of smell enhances our eating experience and when older people sometimes lose that sense, they do not eat as much because of that! How random that it came up this morning in your blog post, Alli!! I agree that just adding some bling to an outfit can change our look greatly! I have been buying some pieces of jewelry to add to outfits instead of buying more clothes.

It doesn’t really bother me that I can’t smell since that’s how it’s always been but thanks for sympathizing =) And buying more accessories is a smart way to keep your outfits fresh without breaking the bank!
