So ugly Christmas sweaters are kind of a thing right now. Everyone throws an ugly Christmas sweater party and you can find the perfect ugly sweater in almost any store. Last week, I was looking for such sweater to wear to a Christmas party and instead of finding one that was legitimately ugly, I found one that I ended up really liking. I figured that if I’m going to spend money on a sweater, I might as well like it, right? I found my sweater at Wal-Mart of all places. I absolutely hate going in there and haven’t bought a single item of clothing there since about 2005, but Christmas sweaters aren’t cheap, and they had good deals and surprisingly cute options. I would definitely recommend checking there if you’re in the market.

Since my sweater has a lot going on, I decided that pairing it with black jeans, boots, and simple layered necklaces was the way to go (side note, I didn’t realize one of my necklaces was under my sweater until after the picture taking process, so darn). I think it would also be cute to layer it over a chambray button down, so I might try that sometime. I’ve already worn it twice, and it will most likely be making an appearance on Christmas Eve. You can only wear a Christmas sweater so long, you know.
If you’re looking for a cute sweater that can be worn more than the one time you go to an ugly Christmas sweater party, here are some good options.
Reindeer Graphic Sweater from Forever 21
Christmas Pullover from Target
Oh, and I’ve typed the word “sweater” so many times that it doesn’t even look like a real word anymore, so there’s that.

I hate when accessories hide or flip or do something else other than what you want them to do when you’re shooting an outfit.lol But you still look cute! That sweater is adorable and it looks great how you styled it!

Cute sweater! I cannot believe you found it at Wal-mart. I can totally see it with chambray, as you mentioned, or a plaid shirt with a skirt and boots. Haha – don’t you just hate it when you find out later your jewelry was all askew or tucked in?!

Cute! I steered away from clothes at Wal-Mart for a long time, but they’ve impressed me lately with winter coats, workout clothes and cute, on trend tops. Might be worth checking out again after this cute find 🙂

I guess they can come through every now and then. I don’t think I was impressed enough to buy other clothes there, but I would definitely check back for Christmas things!
