// Monday afternoon we met my parents at Biltmore – it was so fun to spend the day with them in one of my favorite cities! I love Asheville, North Carolina, and the Biltmore is a definite must-see for anyone living in the Southeast. We had a delicious lunch at one of the restaurants on site – my grilled Caesar salad was worth it for the pickled onions alone. Yum!!
// The weather was beautiful while we were at Biltmore, but on the way home we got caught in a crazy hail storm. When we got home there was an inch of hail on the ground with major rain and dense fog. I’ve never seen hail come down like that! Thankfully, we got home safely and without any damage to our car…thanks to my cool and calm husband. I would have freaked out if I had been driving.
// Tuesday morning there was a massive power outage in the town where I work, so I got to go home super early. I used my extra time to make my first ever from-scratch pie crust. I filled it with chocolate cream pie and it was delicious!
// I’m really glad it’s March Madness season! I’m not a die-hard sports fan, but I love cheering for Kentucky and proudly wear my Kentucky blue in this land of Carolina and Duke fans. #BBN!
That’s it for me! Have a lovely weekend!
