Today I’m continuing my series called “Meet My Favorite Bloggers.” It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to keep a blog fresh and full of new content each week and I want to acknowledge those women who have done just that! Meet Rhoda from Southern Hospitality!
I’ve been reading Rhoda’s blog almost from the beginning – she has been inspiring me since before I was a blogger or a wife! I asked Rhoda a few questions to help you get to know her and her heart for blogging. Here’s what she had to say!
(I just wish you could hear these answers in her glorious Georgia accent that I adore!)

I started blogging in February of 2007, so I was one of the very first home decor bloggers out there in this niche group. It was a lot different back then! Things have changed so much over the years, but I still love the community spirit of blogging. It is a lot of work, but I am so grateful that it’s turned into a job and I love.
I started blogging to share and inspire others in decorating and home improvement. That has been my passion for many years, since I had my first house and I love talking “house” stuff with other women. That’s something we all have in common, how to make your house pretty and do it within a budget.
My purpose really hasn’t changed over the years. I still love sharing what I do and hoping to inspire other women (and men) out there to make their homes pretty and livable for them and their families. My blog has evolved during that time to include many other topics as I’ve evolved myself and it’s fun to share fashion, recipes, travel and my family.

I’m happy that I can share all of that and still have people interested in what I do. I’ve been very fortunate to have built a loyal group of readers who have supported me for so many years on my blog and social media.
I still love decorating and design projects and my husband, Mark, and I are really enjoying making our new house our own by putting our stamp on it. That means projects and improvements and it is still such a thrill to see before and after pictures of how we make things better. The other topics I cover are also fun and I love that life is not just about decorating and home, but full of so many beautiful things to share.
Decorating topics will always be my favorite things to share and inspire, because I know all women want their homes to be beautiful and enjoy seeing how to do that without breaking the bank. Most of my decorating ideas are budget friendly too.

Here are a few of my favorite posts from my previous house. The whole makeover was pretty impressive if I do say so myself!
- My previous house and the stair runners
- My old laundry room that was such an ugly space and how much it changed!
And from our new house, I love our new dining room and living room!
Don’t you just love it?! I am always inspired by Rhoda! My favorite thing about her decorating style is how unique and personal it is to her. She’s not afraid to use the things she loves and doesn’t feel the need to follow every hot trend that comes around in decorating.
I hope you’ll give her a follow at Southern Hospitality Blog! Here’s where you can find Rhoda online: Blog, Instagram, Facebook, and Bloglovin!
Thanks so much for introducing me to a new blogger! I look forward to getting to know Rhoda better 🙂

I also enjoy Rhoda’s blog. When she and her daddy were redoing her old home, I could hardly wait for a new post. What they did to that 70s house was amazing.
