Aldi Favorites: Pantry Edition

Everyone talks about Aldi’s produce prices, and they are really good. But I know some of you only live close enough to your local Aldi to make a run once a month instead of every week. Aldi’s pantry items are really great, too! Here are five pantry items I would rather buy at Aldi – either for the price, taste or both!

Earthly Grains Quinoa Blend: This is delicious and a great deal at less than $2! The Roasted Red Pepper and Basil is really great with dishes instead of regular brown rice. I use the Rosemary and Olive Oil version in my Kale and Quinoa Salad.

Stackers Chips: Pringles are always going to taste better, but these are really good and a great deal at $1!

Specially Selected Double Chocolate Brownie Mix: I just discovered these last week and really hope it’s not a seasonal item! We are die-hard fans of the Ghirardelli brownie mixes – they’re just the best. This is reallllly close, if not an exact dupe for Ghirardelli! The Aldi brand was about $1 cheaper.

Simply Nature Apple Cinnamon Instant Oatmeal: Last winter I watched the sales and at $2.50/box this brand was consistently less expensive than the grocery store. I think the Aldi brand tastes better, too!

Southern Grove Slivered Almonds: Nuts taste the same no matter where you buy them (at least I think so), and Aldi’s prices are always lower than the grocery store. You might be able to get a better deal at Sam’s Club, but otherwise Aldi wins this one!

The next time you’re at Aldi – whether it’s a weekly run or a monthly stocking-up trip – throw a few of these goodies in your cart!

  1. I’ll have to look for those brownies! I don’t think I’ve seen them in my stores yet. We love their granola (vanilla almond I think), their flour/sugar/brown sugar, spices and canned goods.
