“And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.” May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:12-13)
Jesus came to bring hope to our shattered world, giving us joy and peace that exists in spite of broken hearts and difficult circumstances. It is my prayer that whatever circumstances surround you the next few days, the God of hope will fill you with joy and peace as you celebrate the birth of Jesus – who is our hope, our peace, our joy!
I am going to take a few days off, but I’ll be back next Friday with a Christmas recap. Merry Christmas!
