Taking a moment to laugh

Last night I found myself completely annoyed and out of sorts…trying to make an ugly Christmas sweater, of all things. I had this grand idea of attaching green ornaments to a sweater in the shape of a Christmas tree, but anyone who knows me is aware that sewing projects (even of the simplest nature) never end well. And right now that sweater has half of a pitiful tree-ish glob of ornaments hanging from it. The fail that was my ugly sweater turned me into an ugly person.

Don’t you judge me! I know you’ve done it too! Maybe not over a glob of tree-ish ornaments, but something that didn’t work the way you wanted left you annoyed and out of sorts.

One of the best remedies for this problem is laughter. We (I) get annoyed because we take ourselves too seriously. And as my husband often tries to remind me, it’s just not that serious!

So in the spirit of not taking ourselves too seriously during the Christmas season, I give you my favorite Tim Hawkins comedy sketch of all time. Merry Christmas.
