Have you ever had such a deep craving for a freshly baked dessert that you searched Pinterest based on what you had in your pantry? My sister and I do this all the time! Recently I found myself with a Devil’s Food cake mix and very few other baking items. Good ole’ Pinterest! I found a delicious and very simple recipe that I’ll be making again for sure! These crinkly chocolate cookies dusted with powdered sugar look especially festive and wintery which makes them perfect for a cookie exchange, Christmas party or general Christmastime munching!

Festive Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (original recipe from Definition of Devries)
- 1 box devil’s food cake mix
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- Confectioner’s sugar
Preheat over to 350°. Stir dry cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl until dough forms. Dust hands with confectioners’ sugar and shape dough into 1″ to 1 1/2″ balls, or use a cookie scoop for perfectly even cookies. Let stand for a few minutes.
Roll balls in confectioners’ sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until center is just set.
Get ready for an explosion of chocolaty goodness!
I made these for my Bible study’s Christmas party tonight – so easy and sooooooo delicious! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
