I’m glad to see you all survived the #PolarVortex! It was colder here than I remember it ever being before, but I enjoyed the winter weather! Here are my 5 Highs for this Friday:
1. Wednesday night my man and I took in a great basketball game at a Divison II school nearby. Usually I’m watching him from the stands (he’s a college official), so it was nice to enjoy the game with him for a change. 🙂
2. My sister and I finally got to see Saving Mr. Banks! Both of us are Tom Hanks fans and we were not disappointed! I also loved Paul Giamatti’s performance as Ralph, driving around “Mrs.”
3. I was feeling a little under the weather towards the end of the week. My husband came home with a peppermint milkshake from Chick Fil A, which makes any day better. He’s a keeper.
4. Thelma Lou isn’t much of a lap kitty with me, but she curled up next to me on the couch during my sick day. Kitties are the sweetest!
5. The #PolarVortex called for an extra amount of hot chocolate at our house. I think 7 degree weather is a perfect excuse for cocoa with large marshmallows, don’t you agree?
How was your week? Happy Friday!
I’m linking up with The Lauren Elizabeth for High Five for Friday & Carolina Charm for 5 on Friday

Looks like you had a good week and were well taken care of 🙂 Snuggly cats are the best!! I’ve been anxious to see Saving Mr. Banks so I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed it.
Thanks for stopping by, Whitney!
I’m looking forward to seeing Tom Hanks in the movie Saving Mr. Banks, thankful that it’s not fattening. You young gals can eat the Peppermint Shakes more than one time a season, and have the Hot chocolate with big marshmallows, enjoy them while you can, someday when waistlines can’t tolerate it ,you will have had your fill.
I wish! My waistline is for sure showing all those milkshakes and marshmallows! =)
When I saw your picture for Saving Mr. Banks all I could think was “Mrs. Travers, I promise to take care of your precious Mary Poppins”. Such a good movie!
I totally read that in Tom Hanks’ voice. =)
