Friday Favorites

High Five For Friday!

1. My man had a birthday this week! In my family, birthdays mean eating your favorite foods! I served him a manly breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausage. Paul’s favorite food of all foods is hot dogs (such a foodie, right?), so that’s what I fixed for supper along with deviled eggs and fresh fruit. πŸ™‚ I did make my first ever two layer cake and icing – all from scratch! I’ve made cakes from scratch before, but never a layered one…and I don’t think I’ve ventured into homemade icing. It turned out deliciously! Come back Monday for the recipe. πŸ™‚ We are headed to the Georgia Aquarium with some friends on Saturday to continue the birthday fun!

2. I had so much fun at Gracious Designs’ Grand Opening yesterday! Make sure you enter my gourmet giveaway that they “graciously” sponsored (see what I did there?). It ends Monday at 7 AM, so hurry over and enter!

3. We enjoyed a “cooler” day on Wednesday…the high only reached 82! I went out to run errands after lunch and didn’t get disgustingly sweaty, so that was a nice change. I never said I loved summer!

4. & 5. If you’re tired of seeing pictures of my kitties…wait. Who would be tired of these cuties? πŸ™‚ I think they pose just for the attention. It works.

Have a lovely weekend and don’t forget to enter my Gourmet Giveaway!
