Here are five things I loved about the past week:

  1. The 35th Anniversary Party my sister and I hosted for our parents (read all about it here)!
  2. Hanging out with my sister all weekend! We shopped, ate and laughed so much!
  3. Evening storms that cooled off the crazy temps this week.
  4. The new pillows & decor I picked up for my living room! I’m working on a post on the living room update, coming soon! 🙂
  5. This video from the Daily Connoisseur about the importance of dressing up for certain events – it’s a great reminder for all of us!

I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend at home – there are several projects I’m hoping to tackle tomorrow! Next week I’m bringing you a fun post with ideas for working some patriotism into your decor, so be looking for that. I hope you have a lovely weekend! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. 🙂

Tell me something you loved about your week!

  1. I’m with you on cheering a weather cool down, as it’s been so abnormally hot here in Nebraska most of June. Saturday evening was refreshing, and I enjoyed a walk at the lakes with my mom and sister. Being Father’s Day weekend, we reminisced about dad’s love for fishing while we walked. (He passed away from kidney cancer almost 5 years ago.) It must’ve been a week for pillows, as I got a new one, too! I have to be really careful because pillows are so fun, but they take up a lot of storage space. 🙂

  2. Those flowers are so pretty. So happy that you had so much fun time with your sister. Makes me happy for my girls and sad that I don’t have one. Have a great Monday!

  3. I can’t wait to see the new pillows and decor and I need some ideas for patriotic decor! I love her YouTube channel (and yours as well)! Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. Sounds like a wonderful week!! I always enjoy spending time with my siblings now that we’re all grown up and busy with our own families. THANK YOU for introducing me to a new youtuber! I loved her video on dressing up for your kids and love all things that address etiquette, manners, and her tag line of every day elegance. I rarely had parents dress up for parent teacher conferences, but I would have appreciated it. Looking forward to watching more of her stuff.

    1. I like her videos (besides her great content) because they are almost like podcasts, you don’t have to be looking at the screen the whole time. I turn her channel on when I’m ironing or cleaning. 🙂
