Happy Fall, Y’all! I’m celebrating the Autumn Equinox by sharing my fall decor tour with you today. My style has definitely evolved over the years as I’ve learned how to layer and create balanced vignettes. I look back over my previous decor tours and shudder slightly, but I remember how much I enjoyed it then! I imagine we all have those moments, whether it’s with home decor or hair styles!
I have a lot of pictures so I won’t narrate the tour – everything you see is either old or from Dollar Tree/the Target Dollar Spot over the past 11 years! Those things are mixed in with my decorating essentials that I use year round. If you want to know where I purchased something in particular, just leave me a comment and I’ll be glad to tell you.
I made the buffalo plaid leaf print. Here’s a link to download it for yourself! I also made one with a gray plaid background – they are both sized to print as 8×10.
If you need just a bit more fall goodness, here’s the video tour!
Happy Fall, Y’all!

So cozy! I think you might love pumpkins just as much as me, and I also bought a teal pumpkin this weekend at Target!! And I got one in purple and one in black (as Halloween’s a bit spooky). They will be going up next month, when I decorate for Halloween. Right now, my decor it’s more natural toned. It’s soothing to have greens, browns, etc. I love your twinkle lights! There were some kind of lights at Target in Bullseye’s Playground, and I’m sort of wishing I’d have picked them up, too. I want ALL the fall things, so it’s important to limit myself. 🙂 Oh, and I do agree that tastes change over the years, so it’s fun to look back on decor! (Some clothing choices I made years ago now have me shaking my head. Haha!)
I love the velvet pumpkins that Target has this year! I think the black ones are really pretty and would be great in the right color scheme. I set out my Halloween things this weekend – not too many, but a few to make it a little more festive!
Halloween decor is on tap for me soon. I’ve been under the weather a bit with a cold/allergy thing, and I didn’t want to dig up any more dust than necessary. Haha! 🙂 Those velvet pumpkins caught my eye at Target, so they had to come home. Velvet is so cozy!
I love those velvet pumpkins even more than I thought I would!

Happy Birthday!! Love how everything turned out for Fall. I love your mix of metallics, blues and twinkle lights. Looks warm and cozy. Now lets just hope those temps cool down to match the season soon.
Thank you, friend! Yes – I’m hoping that by mid October it will feel cozy instead of sweaty. Ha!
I love reading your blog! I’ve never commented before, but just read your mom’s blog, and she said it was your birthday, so Happy Birthday! Thanks for the decorating ideas! So pretty!

I love how you decorate in neutral colors. It’s so clean.
And… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thank you! I’ve had to learn the balance between warm neutral and blah neutral. Ha!
I watched your video earlier today – and your home looks lovely! Very tastelful, very warm and cozy and very fall…but not over the top! I really like the twinkle lights:) I’ve finished my decorating but think I want to add in some of those little twinkles!
Thank you, Jennifer! Twinkle lights add so much – I am so glad it’s twinkle season again! 🙂
Beutiful!
Isn’t it interesting to see how our style evolves? I followed the trends as a young wife and homemaker. Now I know what I like and I stick to it. My sis in law tried to persuade me to paint my living room walls while as is the trend right now. I told her that I did not like stark white and I prefer cozier colors. I see Mrs Erica says Black and White Buffalo check will be big this season and I like that…I have learned every room needs a bit of black to make a bit of a statement. I love all your vignettes and the leaf print is just darling.
I love the black and white buffalo trend and tried to make it work in my home, but it just didn’t flow. I compromised with the tan and teal print! 🙂
It looks beautiful! I have found the same thing, that my style as evolved over the years. I think it takes a while to really discover what you love. You have done a great job! Happy favorite season of the year (for you!).
Thank you! Your style has evolved but you’ve always had a knack for cozy. ❤
