I’m wrapping up this week with a good old 5 on Friday post! Here are 5 of my favorite moments from this week!
1// Last Saturday we celebrated the first birthday of my sister’s twin boys! They have been fostering them since February, and those boys are deeply loved by our family and friends. It was a great day of celebration! Since I can’t share the boys’ faces on the internet, here’s a pic of my sweet sis and me at the party!
2// On the way up to Tennessee I couldn’t resist stopping at the scenic overlook for a quick picture. It was cloudy but still so beautiful!
3// This week I pulled out an old recipe that I haven’t made in a long time. I’d forgotten how good this Mexican Casserole is! Later on this month I’ll share the recipe, but it’s basically a layered dip in main dish form. Yum!
4// I’ve started a new series on Instagram Stories. Each Tuesday I go through the Aldi sale circular and share my favorite deals from the weekly sales. Not everything is a great deal, so I’ll point out those tricky items as well. Follow me on Instagram so you don’t miss the info!
5// I feel like we’re having a more vibrant fall than usual in South Carolina. At least the trees in my neighborhood seem prettier than in past years! The tree across the street from the guest room has been so pretty the last week or so. I’ll be sad when all those leaves fall!
I hope your week has been beautiful! If not, look back and try to find a beautiful moment or two. ❤

Our fall is definitely done here, and I miss it! The trees are bare! So fun to be able to celebrate the twins’ birthday!

Our trees lost most of their leaves today – it is so sad!

It’s crazy, but our Aldi’s ads have been a little different prices than yours. I would think they’d be consistent. It’s not huge – like .10, but still, cream cheese at .69 is fantastic, it was .79 here, which is good, too. Also, I love that pic of you and Al!! What a fun day that was! You’re a great Auntie!

That doesn’t surprise me – since even the various Ingles grocery stores here are priced differently, I guess Aldi does it too. I need to mention that next week though – thanks for telling me. I love that picture too! Dad took it. 🙂

Happy Birthday to your nephews! 🙂 So fun that they share a birthday with my sister! You’re lucky to have leaves still on the trees. Most have fallen here, but the oak always holds onto them until early December. It’s kind of like me….not ready to accept winter coming! Haha! 😉
It’s been a rough couple of weeks here, as my left ear has had aching/stabbing pain almost every day. The docs think it’s related to me being migraine prone, but I haven’t had much headache pain….just my ear. So frustrating. Luckily, it let up a bit last weekend and for my birthday yesterday. Looking forward to (hopefully) celebrating more this weekend!

Thanks so much for the birthday greetings! 🙂 Knock on wood, my ear has been much improved, and my sister goes in for her checkup on Friday.

What a fun week!! So glad you were able to be there for the twin’s first birthday. Being an aunt is so much fun. Do you get an Aldi add delivered to your house each week? We get once about once a month randomly, but not on a weekly basis. Do you ever use the Aldi app? I’m enjoying your insta stories series! Hope you have a great weekend 🙂

I didn’t know there was an Aldi app!!! Going to look for that now! 🙂 Yes, our city delivers a small paper twice a week (free!) and it has all the sale circulars AND coupons that come in the Sunday paper. I’m so grateful for it!
