It’s time to wrap up the highlights from May! This month has been packed with lots of fun things – a marriage conference, my nephews’ first overnight stay at our house (with my sister too!), a visit with my parents, and lots of time with my husband.
Typically in May, Paul and I sort of re-connect after a busy spring. This month we both have been home early in the day on Fridays, allowing us to “day date” and do a few things we never get to do together. The first picture above is from our beautiful lunch at The Bleu Porch Kitchen – if you live near Greer, South Carolina, you need to eat there!
Last Friday we ate lunch at The Beacon, a drive-in that’s been open since 1946. It’s a little sketchy these days, but it’s still an essential experience for people who live around here. The food was really good, but I was glad to have both Paul and my antibacterial wipes while we ate. 🙂
After lunch we discovered this amazing wall in downtown Spartanburg! We snapped a few pics and raced back to the car to get out of the 96 degree heat. #springinsouthcarolina
The highlight of last weekend was going to see Aladdin. It was fun to see it on opening weekend – it’s such a good one! I highly recommend it!
There’s a new “From My Heart Friday” video on my YouTube channel today – I’m talking about my makeup and hair favorites, my daily cleaning routine, what I do for self care AND how we deal with conflict in our marriage.

Your thankfulness for your husband and your antibacterial wipes made me smile! In basically all situations my germaphobe, husband adoring heart feels the same way and in certain places, even more so! lol! Hooray for Aladdin! We finally made it out to see it this week and loved it! Fun recap of last month, friend! Hope June is going beautifully for you too!

Wasn’t it the best? I can’t wait for it to come out on iTunes. That burger place has an actual police officer (not security guard) stationed at the cash register. I wasn’t kidding! LOL!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed Aladdin. I’d love to introduce it to my kids since it was one of my favorites growing up. That’s so fun that you’ve been able to enjoy more date nights and yummy spots around town. Hope you can keep it up this Summer 🙂
