5 of My Favorite Dollar Tree Kitchen Tools

There are so many reasons to love Dollar Tree, and their wall of kitchen utensils is definitely one of them! I pulled five of my favorite DT kitchen tools out of the drawer today to share them with you.

#1 Small Colander

I happen to have a metal/stainless steel version, but this colander is also available in plastic. It’s perfect for rinsing berries or draining a box of Kraft mac and cheese noodles. None of the food escapes through the holes!

#2 Glass Pinch Pots

You can pay more than $1 for one of these at a kitchen store, or you can get a pack of 4 at Dollar Tree for $1! We use these dishes every single day, either for cooking or for dipping. They’re perfect for little dishes of ketchup, Ranch or mustard.

#3 Mini Silicone Tools

They have a good variety of these tools in several different colors, including a wisk, rubber spatula, tongs, mixing spoon and the spatula you see in my photo. I love this one for doing eggs over easy or for making grilled cheese – it’s the perfect size for flipping, even in a small skillet.

#4 Betty Crocker Avocado Slicer

Not only is Betty Crocker a name brand, this tool is awesome. After slicing the avocado in half with the pop out blade, run the tool down the middle of one of the pieces to create even slices. The blade isn’t sharp but it works like a charm. The OXO version of this is $10 on Amazon!

#5 Measuring Cups

These measuring cups are not fancy, but they’re exactly what I wanted. They are completely smooth, making it easy to get peanut butter and mayo out of them (southern cooks use a lot of mayo!). The measurements are raised, not printed on the handles – so they don’t come off in the dishwasher.

I like to have more than one set of measuring cups and it’s easier to do that if they’re extremely inexpensive!

The other great thing about all of these items is that they are small. If you have a small kitchen or are low on storage, you can easily find a spot for these things.

What is your favorite DT kitchen tool? I’m sure I could think of more favorites – some of them might have been hiding in the dishwasher. 🙂

  1. Fun finds!! I’ll have to keep an eye out for that avocado slicer. I’ve got several of the small silicone spatulas. They’re great for baking and they work really well for my kids when they want to help me in the kitchen. I found mine at TJ Maxx so I’m going to have to check out my Dollar Tree. Thanks for the heads up.

    1. Oh for sure, the silicone utensils are perfect for small hands! I hope you can find the avocado slicer – I also like to use it to slice hard boiled eggs, which I think you enjoy often on your salads!
