How To Make Your Closet Work for You : Part 4

How To Make Your Closet Work For You via ComeHomeForComfort.com

This is the last post in the How to Make Your Closet Work for You series! Hopefully all the previous posts have helped you put some lovely outfits together! This last post is really key if you want to successfully pull off wearing fantastic outfits daily. And the topic is – drum roll please – Outfit Planning!

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, k?

So you’ve put together some solid outfits, stocked up on your staples, and found your style inspiration. Now if you’re going to actually wear those outfits, you need a plan. If you jump out of bed in the morning with 30 minutes to get ready and no clue what you’re wearing, chances are you’re not going to have a good outfit day. Your jeans are dirty, your shirt is wrinkled, you can’t find your necklace, and the list goes on. But if you take time the night before to decide on your outfit and make sure everything is clean, ironed, and accounted for, getting dressed in the morning will be a cinch. I do this pretty much every night (unless I don’t have anything going on the next day) and it’s so helpful! Knowing that my outfit is hanging in my closet waiting to be worn makes every morning so much easier.  It will take work to set aside time and plan an outfit each evening, but it’s totally worth it. Try it for a week and I think you’ll agree.

If you don’t believe me, check out my sister’s post on outfit planning. She’ll back me up.

And that’s it for this series! I’ve really enjoyed writing it and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it! Is there another topic you would like me cover? Let me know!

  1. I also take out my outfits the night before Alli…it really helps me to think about the complete outfit. I will try different pieces of jewelry and decide on shoes. Makes the morning less hectic.
