Can you believe that Christmas is just over five weeks away? I love the many opportunities for planning and organizing that come with Thanksgiving and Christmas! Last year I hosted Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed all the planning that went with the occasion. This year I’m not hosting either holiday, but there are still plenty of reasons to make spreadsheets and lists. Hooray!
I have a few tips for staying organized with your Christmas cards and Christmas gifts, along with some pointers for sticking to your Christmas budget. Watch my video below to hear what they are!

I love the sound of your spreadsheet! I’m a fan of spreadsheets too. I use a Christmas app on my phone called ‘Santa’s Bag’ which I LOVE! I have my list of people on their along with the budget per person (and the total). Then I add in presents (which I can classify as an idea, something I need to buy, something I have purchased, wrapped or given). I can then allocate a gift to a person or multiple people if I want (handy if I’m buying the same presents for similar aged children). I gave in and upgraded to the paid version last year (which was not expensive) so I could archive last year’s presents so I can always check what I have bought before! I love Christmas and have nearly finished my Christmas shopping! Plus I have written all my Christmas cards already. XX

I do a lot of these things, too! I shop all year & have a large tote in my storage closet (where I keep my decorations) that I keep everything in. I keep a list on my phone of what I’ve bought through the year & ideas of things we would all like, that way when grandparents ask, I have suggestions for them. 🙂

I like your idea to keep a running list for when it’s time to exchange wish lists! I’m always scrambling on that one.

I am almost done with my shopping as well Whitney! In fact I am going to wrap some gifts today! Great tips…I just handwrite vs the computer. But I did like the idea to put things on your phone. I am using my phone more these days to keep up with lists. You can teach an old dog new tricks!:)
