1// I am writing this post from the beautiful country that is East Tennessee! This weekend my sister and I are giving our parents a 35th anniversary party here in Tennessee, so we came a little early to get things ready for the big event. My sister and I had so much fun yesterday, running around and making each other laugh SO hard. Nobody makes me laugh like she does. 🙂
2// Paul and I arrived in Tennessee just in time yesterday to grab our favorite lunch. We love Pal’s burgers, fries, milkshakes and tea and it was just as good as ever!
3// My sister in law sent me a Mayberry Cookbook this week – it’s full of delicious recipes, some of which were submitted by the actors on The Andy Griffith Show. So fun! I am thrilled to have such a fun little treasure in my kitchen!
4// I am loving my Toddy Cold Brew Coffee System. It makes the best iced coffee and with so little effort! I’m working on perfecting my favorite summer drinks, and when I do I’ll be sure to share them here!
5// Have you seen my newest YouTube video? I shared my latest batch of empties – products I’ve used up over the Spring, including my favorite products for styling fine, straight hair.

What a sweet way to celebrate your parent’s anniversary! Mine just celebrated their 40th so I need to keep your idea in mind for their 45th 🙂 I look forward to hearing more about it. I loved the dresses you and your sis/mom wore. Glad you had a fun getaway, but I’m sure your cats were happy to have you back home. My favorite weekend getaway would be up to Notre Dame for a football game or a big city close to home – Chicago, Indy or St. Louis.

Oh yes – the cats were happy to have us home. They gave us the silent treatment for the first 30 mins or so, and then they decided to be nice again. LOL!

I don’t get away much on the weekends, but I do like to go to Asheville for day trips. I sure love East Tennessee!!

My favorite place to go, is to my daughter’s house spending time with the grandkids. Farmers Markets, shopping, day trips, you name it. In NC as you know, we can be in the mountains in a couple of hours or the beach.

That is a hard question Whitney. I truly think of Alabama as HOME now that I have lived here for most of my life. But I do miss going to Savannah Ga, where my husband is from. If we go on a weekend it has to be a LONG weekend as it is so far away. Now that my inlays have passed away, we do not get there very often. And I will admit that I loved our weekend visit to Brevard to see our family there. What a pretty town and the NC mountains are beautiful. Please tell Denise Happy Anniversary for me!

I’ve never been to Savannah, but I would love to visit there eventually! North Carolina is my second choice for a weekend after TN.
