Happy December! Happy Friday!
1// I am almost done with my Christmas decorating! I don’t like to display things the same way every year which takes a while to figure out how I want everything arranged. Next week I’ll have a full tour on the blog, so I have to get it done this weekend. I can’t wait for you to see it – so far it’s my favorite of all the years I’ve decorated!
2// I have one gift card left to purchase, and then I will be DONE with my Christmas shopping. This is the earliest I’ve ever been done and it feels so good. This is also the first year I’ve worked part time instead of full time – those extra hours in the day make such a difference.
3// Did you catch Dolly Parton’s Christmas movie, Circle of Love, this week? I loved the first movie last year and was not disappointed by the sequel! The little girl that plays Dolly has the most annoyingly unauthentic Tennessee accent, but other than that – it was a good one in my book. What did you think?
4// We had a crazy tornado watch on Wednesday night. I was home by myself, so I made the cats hang out with me in the bathroom until the storm passed. They were not thrilled. LOL. Thankfully we didn’t have any damage.
5// I’m filming a fun video tonight, showing you how I filled Paul’s stocking for $20. It will be on my YouTube channel this weekend, so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!
Have a lovely weekend!

We love the Dolly specials. While I know it’s a show, it also teaches me so much about her as person, not just a celebrity.

I agree – it’s incredible how far she came from her roots!

So glad you were safe from the tornado! And I can only imagine the kitties cooped up! We get warnings here often in the summer, but this time of year is really odd. I saw that Gatlinburg has had the horrible fires, but it’s awesome that Dolly Parton is donating $1,000 a month for the people to get back on their feet. What a huge heart she has!
Can’t wait to see your decor tour! I’m slowly “decking the halls” and hope to get the tree up this weekend. Congrats on the shopping! Mine is coming along well this year, too, and I put the Christmas cards in the mail yesterday (the earliest ever!). It’s a good feeling to be able to breathe and really take in the reason for the season!

Good work on the Christmas shopping! It does feel great to get it all done early! I am very excited to see your Christmas decor. Your Instagram photos have been very pretty. I am glad everyone is safe and sound after the tornado watch. We get those occasionally here, but never in the winter. I hate them and can be found cowering downstairs with Miss. E and my pets!

I don’t remember ever having a tornado that close to us here. I would be fine if it never happens again, LOL!

So glad the tornado didn’t touch down!!! I have been in a few tornado warnings and they are quite scary (but somewhat exciting at the same time!). I cannot wait to see the tour of your decor!!! Best time of the year for creating a cozy home 🙂 Have a great rest of your weekend!

I’m so glad, too! It did touch down about 10 miles from here, but with minimal damage.

Great job on the decorating and shopping!! I need to finish both things plus my Christmas cards this weekend 🙂 I’m taking my sweet time with my little helpers in the mix this year. Love the kitty pics and that you included them in your safe spot for the tornado watch. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂

Save me from bad Southern Accents. And I am from North Ga where we talk like people from East Tennessee so I know what they should sound like. One of the best southern accents I have heard on TV was Booley on Driving Miss Daisy. But Dan Ackroyd is a great mimic. Congrats on getting your shopping done. I have a few more things and I will be done too!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is annoyed by bad Southern accents. 🙂 I’m not surprised you feel that way since we’re so alike! 🙂
