The Top 5 New Recipes of 2016

top-5-new-recipes-of-2016

This year I made a point to work some new recipes into our weekly menu plans. I shared the winners with you here each month, but I thought it would be fun to choose the top favorites from the year. It wasn’t hard to pick our favorites – they were all things we ate on repeat after that first try.

Let’s count down the best new recipes from 2016!

#5 Beef Enchiladas: To me, this is the perfect blend of Mexican and comfort food. The enchiladas are baked in a sauce that makes the tortillas so soft and delicious, and with the melted cheese it’s just perfection.

#4 Bacon Cheeseburger Wraps: This is the perfect way to have the cheeseburger flavor without the effort of grilling burgers! I love the seasoning that you put on the meat – I also use this method when I want to make cheeseburger salads!

#3 Texas Toast Pizzas (Paul’s Favorite): These are quick, easy and don’t require a recipe! They work for lunch or supper and have all the wonderful carbs and cheese you need in a delicious meal! 🙂

#2 Harvest Cobb Salad (My Favorite): I get tired of salads with veggies, so the fruit on this salad is such a delicious change! It’s filling and so yummy!

#1 Garlic Parmesan Chicken: You can’t beat the flavor on this chicken! It’s so good – there’s never a need for a dipping sauce! We’ve had this recipe multiple times this year and I’m always glad I put it on the menu.

I’ve teamed up again this month with some of my favorite girls as we share our favorite recipes from 2016. Be sure to visit their posts (linked below) for lots of new recipe ideas! We all have fairly different cooking styles & preferences, so I know there will be something for everyone.

Here’s to a year of delicious new recipes! 🙂

  1. I still need to try the Harvest Cobb Salad! Time got away from me, but I’m definitely putting this on the list for 2017! Regular lettuce salads bore me, too, so it’s fun to mix them up. 🙂
