The title of this post has two of my favorite words in it – Christmas and organized! During December I set up three little “stations” that corral all the things I need for various Christmas projects – wrapping gifts, assembling food gifts and addressing Christmas cards. Here’s how I set up each “station!”
This can be a one-time set up for the day you’re going to wrap all your presents, or it can be a table or work surface that lives in a room all month long! Here’s what you need:
- Gift Wrapping Paper
- Gift Bags
- Tissue Paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Gift Tags
- Ribbon, Bows, Etc.
- Boxes
- Pen For Labeling Gifts
#2 Food Gift Assembly Station
If you deliver baked goods to friends, neighbors or others, it’s helpful to have a basket or bin with everything you need to assemble a gift bag or container before heading out the door to deliver one! Here’s what you need:
- Treat Bags
- Containers
- Twist Ties
- Ribbon
- Cards (or anything else you’re including with the gift)
#3 Christmas Card Station
I like to gather everything I’ll need for addressing Christmas cards and then carry it to the couch, dining room table or counter. Most of the time I don’t address them all at once. I do a few at a time, so it’s nice to have everything ready when I have a few minutes. Here’s what you need:
- Christmas Cards
- Envelopes
- Address List
- Stamps
- Return Address Labels or Stamp
- Pen
- Stationery for including notes
- Stickers or Other Embellishments

Are you on board with my station idea? #badjoke

Stations help so much! We have a gift wrap table downstairs, and it makes a big difference. I store all of my gift bags and wrap in a big plastic container, so it’s easy to find what I need.
It’s so nice to have a table set up all month for wrapping gifts!
My wrapping station could definitely use an overhaul. I’ve stocked up on all the essentials, but it’s not so easy to access. I love having a Christmas card station when I’m working to get my cards out.
It’s hard to keep all that stuff organized! I’d been using a bin for the last several years and it just wasn’t working anymore. Sometimes an overhaul does the trick!
I do something like this with my wrapping. I have a tub I store all the presents in, a tub for all my gift wrapping supplies (bags, boxes, tags, etc). After the kids are in bed on Black Friday, I clear off the living room table, turn on Hallmark and do all the wrapping at once. Thankfully the kids have never messed with the presents or stockings with them out a whole month before Christmas.
That’s very impressive! Paul wrapped my gifts a few weeks ago and I’ve given them several good squeezes and shakes! 🙂
