How To Look Your Best On A Budget {Spring Lifestyle Wardrobe}

We are officially into Spring, which means (at least where I live) it’s time to put away the winter clothes and start transitioning toward warm weather! I decided to curate a 21(ish) item lifestyle wardrobe for this season like I did last summer and fall – it really makes getting ready so much easier!

It’s easiest to show these pieces on a video, so here’s a quick look at the pieces I chose to make up the outfits I’ll wear for work, church, errands, date night and pretty much anything else I find myself doing!

Here are my top three tips for looking your best on a budget this spring!

  1. Don’t be afraid to thrift or wear hand-me-downs
  2. Add a new scarf to give life to an old top or dress
  3. Design a “uniform” for the days when you just don’t feel like putting together a cute outfit – something that is comfortable yet looks pulled together. My “uniform” is skinny jeans, a cute tee and a lightweight jacket with flats.

Have you experimented with the lifestyle wardrobe concept? Follow me on Instagram to see my outfits in action! I share my outfits in regular Instagram posts or in my story.

**Next week I will be taking a little spring break from the blog, but I’ll be back on April 2 with regularly scheduled content. See you then! 🙂 **

  1. I need to put away my winter things, so the spring stuff will be coming out very soon. Doing a capsule wardrobe would be a big challenge for me, as I have a ton of things. But I like challenges! 🙂 Might give it a whirl, but I’ll need multiple capsule collections for several occasions. LOL! Throwing a light cardigan over tops, paired with cropped pants is pretty much my spring/summer outfit.

  2. Your blog is terrific and you are adorable! I’m putting it together. Our connection is camp but also homes of hope. I guess it didn’t register at first because I have tried to forget that year in Anderson. It was rough. Then I remembered you married pajama pants Paul! I clicked on your blog from Southern Plate. You are doing a great job. Blessings to you and your dear husband!

    1. I’m so sorry that year was rough for you! We had a rough year last year – and while it wasn’t fun then, I’m so thankful for the things God taught us. Yes, I did marry Pendell Pants Paul! 🙂 I love that we reconnected through Christy’s blog! She’s a sweetheart!

  3. Your dresses are my favorite!! I love all the pretty patterns and colors for spring. I recently paired down my closet to only items that fit and that I love. It’s so much fun to put together outfits now that I’m not searching through tons of things I don’t wear. I’ve challenged my husband to do the same 🙂
